 LOUIS // 18Y // NYC

Louis Bubko.

A small rural town called Jefferson. I'm now in Harlem.

NY is made of steel. Are you?

Definitely not.

How would you describe your body?

P.H.A.T. (pretty hot and tempting).

Given climate change, the Atlantic will rise. When will the first wave hit NY?

Hopefully after I move out.

Who was your first love, how young were you?

I'm still with my first love and we've been dating for a year now.

Ever crossed the Atlantic from Europe to NY (the sight of NY emerging in the distant blue)?

Yeah I have, it's pretty picturesque. It lives up to the ideas of what people think of NY.

I find coffee at Ninth Street delicious. What’s your favorite coffee place in NY?

I like convenience and I'm not picky so my go-to tends to be Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, it does the job.

What sound would you associate NY with?

Homeless people on the subway.

What sound would you associate yourself with?

White noise.

Where are you now and what time is it?

Taco Bell and it is 3:27 PM.

 Where are you going next?

Hopefully home.

 Are you in love?

Yeah I am and it's amazing.

What’s the last cocktail you drank, where?

Something with tequila, with my boyfriend at our apartment .

If NY was a person, would it be your mother, uncle, boy or girl friend, sister, brother, aunt?

It's definitely my mother, it teaches me a lot.

More binoculars are sold in NY compared to any other place on Earth. What can you see from your place and what was the most memorable sight you’ve enjoyed from your windows?

I always hear and see people yelling at each other in the streets. I like couples doing it the best.

NY’s foundations are archaic. Tubes are rusting. Steel is breaking. Do you feel the city is crumbling or is it constantly resurrecting? When was the last time you resurrected?

It's definitely a place that continues to resurrect itself but the tap water is pretty gross so the tubes rusting might be valid. I'm currently trying to resurrect into a happy, mindful person.

 What’s nasty about NY?

The smell of hot trash and exhaust in the summer.

Where do you spend most of your time?

Exploring Central Park.

 Your favorite concert venue?

Terminal 5.

 Is Brooklyn still Brooklyn?

It's still the only Brooklyn I know.
