Guided by the lifestyle heritage of Trussardi, creative directors Benjamin A. Huseby and Serhat Işık invited three artists to create furniture for an exhibition and special capsule for Milan Design Week.
The design objects will be on display in an open-for-all windows installation at Palazzo Trussardi from June 7-12.
In the spirit of the house’s approach to sharing culture with the city, Trussardi invites visitors and residents of Milan to see the works created by Mark Grattan, Kiri-Una Brito Meumann and Prem Sahib at the brand’s headquarters at Piazza Alla Scala. As the pieces will be showcased in lit windows, they can be viewed at any time of the day or night.
“These pieces are part of an ecosystem of design culture we are creating for the brand. The commonality in Mark, Kiri and Prem’s individual practices are not immediately obvious. Their methodologies and aesthetics widely divert, but their work all evokes their personal stories in unique ways,” Benjamin A. Huseby and Serhat Işık
The Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores are hosting the French-Uruguayan artist Bettina Pittaluga for an exceptional exhibition in Paris and Los Angeles.
Bettina Pittaluga’s approach to photography is very much about instinct, physicality, the senses and the creation of a natural luminosity.
The artist casts her benevolent and delicate gaze on individuals living their lives in the shadows, enabling us to enter their most secret places, arousing emotions and reactions in us which are far from merely aesthetic. Working only in non-digital, medium-format film, the artist prints all her own photos.
Anthony Vaccarello has selected 16 key artworks of the artist’s photographs to be exhibited in both Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores, including DOURANE, PARIS, C. 2018 and CATHYIA, SARCELLES, C. 2017.
On this occasion, a third issue of the fanzine will be available in stores, featuring Bettina Pittaluga’s photographs.

Anthony Vaccarello has chosen to pay tribute to the works of Robert Mapplethorpe through an exhibition of original works displayed in the Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores in Paris and Los Angeles in collaboration with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation.
In an effort to challenge the standards of classical aesthetics, Robert Mapplethorpe mastered the light, the shadows and the shapes through compositions of still lifes, both male and female nudes & portraits. These are some of his preferred subjects and the experimentation for which he is widely known. His work contributed to a new perception of photographic art, and at the same time elevated fine art photography to the level of respect and attention given to sculpture and painting.
His vast, provocative, and powerful body of work has established him as one of the most important artists of the twentieth century.
Today, Mapplethorpe is represented by galleries and is included in collections of major museums around the world.
His legacy lives on through the work of the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation, which he created in 1988 to promote his artistic vision, and to support photography at the institutional level, making possible, photography exhibitions, publications, and acquisitions. The Mapplethorpe Foundation serves his additional mandate to support research, care, and education related to HIV/AIDS. Mapplethorpe died in March 1989, as a result of AIDS.
Saint Laurent Rive Droite Paris and Los Angeles will host an exclusive selection of original artworks by Robert Mapplethorpe. The exhibitions will include silver gelatin photographs and Polaroids of still lifes, portraits and nudes, courtesy of Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery in Paris and Morán Morán Gallery in Los Angeles.
In connection with the exhibitions, Anthony Vaccarello has designed a unique lifestyle collection in collaboration with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation, licensed by Artestar.
This unique limited edition includes bags, leather goods, clothing, porcelain, and pillows.
All lifestyle products are illustrated with a photograph by the artist and are available for purchase at both stores.
