Saint Laurent celebrates the singular vision of Martin Parr with an exhibition at Saint Laurent Montaigne, curated by Anthony Vaccarello, running from October 15 to January 13, 2027.
Known for his saturated colours, direct flash and unmistakable sense of humour, the late British photographer transformed ordinary moments into sharp observations of contemporary society. From tourism and consumer culture to everyday rituals, Parr's photographs reveal the absurdities hidden in plain sight.
The exhibition highlights his Autoportrait series (1996–2015), in which Parr turned the camera on himself through portraits taken by professional photographers, amateurs and photo booths around the world. Playing with disguises, artificial backdrops and the visual language of tourism, the series offers an ironic exploration of identity and self-representation.
Following their collaboration on Saint Laurent's 2025 campaign An Ordinary Day, the exhibition continues the dialogue between the House and the photographer, celebrating a distinctive perspective that continues to influence contemporary photography.
