BUTTERFLY EFFECT

For Fall/Winter 2026, CHANEL continues the dialogue between Matthieu Blazy and Gabrielle Chanel, drawing on the metamorphosis of the caterpillar into the butterfly as a symbol of transformation. Movement shapes a wardrobe where function meets fantasy, masculine meets feminine, and day slips into night.

The iconic CHANEL suit evolves through fluid proportions, iridescent fabrics and unexpected materials, while nature emerges through flowers, shimmering textures and delicate pastel tones.

Photographed by Julien Martinez Leclerc, the campaign brings the collection to Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment at 31 Rue Cambon, transformed into the setting of an intimate, crowded party. The accompanying film, directed by Stuart Winecoff, captures Blazy’s vision of a CHANEL in constant motion.
