For its Cruise 2027 campaign, Dior turns the act of looking into a story of its own. Photographed by Sam Rock at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the campaign brings together Dior muses Jennifer Lawrence, Greta Lee, Taylor Russell and Drew Starkey, caught somewhere between performance and reality as they wander through the museum’s galleries.
Under Jonathan Anderson’s vision, colour becomes a central character, drawing from sun-drenched California, Hollywood’s Technicolor golden age and the bold language of pop art. New Dior bags appear alongside pieces from the House’s collaboration with Ed Ruscha, further blurring the boundaries between fashion and art.
Throughout the series, Monet’s Water Lilies create a poetic connection between Los Angeles and Paris. Playing with what is staged and what is spontaneous, the campaign ultimately asks a deceptively simple question: are we looking at fashion, art, or something in between?
