CAMPAIGN DRAWING PRADA Animated by Hand
The Prada Holiday 2026 campaign celebrates the human side of storytelling during the festive season. Its central element is hand-drawn illustration, an old-fashioned and romantic technique used to create magical, impossible fantasy worlds for a series of films and still images.
The campaign stars a new generation of acting talent: Chen Haoyu, Luther Ford, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke and Sadie Sink. They appear in whimsical, childlike winter wonderlands illustrated by a team of artists led by John Pomeroy, a legendary animator who has shaped major productions over the past fifty years. The films and photographs blend live action with animated illustration. Glen Luchford’s photography, with lighting and perspective designed to echo the drawings, ensures the two visual styles work in harmony.
Drawing on the charm of old Hollywood and traditional fables, with storybook winter scenes and playful animal characters, the campaign emphasizes the importance of stories passed down through generations. Its handmade execution reflects a connection to craft and human touch that Prada considers central to its creative approach.
