Born on the cusp (but emotionally committed to being a Pisces), Borsoi moves through his life in São Paulo with a calendar full of therapy sessions, gym, and work calls – right after he fixes his AC, that is. The Brazilian art advisor and content creator makes his bed every day like it’s a personal deal with the universe, then promptly undoes that discipline by making impulsive purchases on Grailed that may or may not fit (we’ve all been there).
From dreaming of Cartier Panthère watches to finding solace in the enthrallingly sophisticated works of Domenico Gnoli, Borsoi believes that surrounding yourself with beautiful things – and beautiful minds! – pushes him to be more intentional and ambitious. Here, he lets us dive into his latest obsessions.

Profession: Junior art advisor and content creator
Birthday and Astrological Sign: 19/02/99 – I’m a Pisces, even though everyone insists I’m an Aquarius. Born on the cusp.
Place of Residence: São Paulo, Brazil

First thing I thought about this morning:
What I had to do for the day. Therapy, gym, calls… That’s how my brain works. Also, my AC, which I need to fix. It’s not working properly, and I can’t sleep without it.
A non-negotiable part of my daily routine:
Making my bed. Every day.

I have recently developed an obsession with:
Buying stuff on Grailed. Got so many vintage pieces, and a bunch of them didn’t even fit me in the end.
An artist I discovered recently:
Poppy Jones and Felipe Suzuki are two that I’ve been loving to follow recently. Always finding new artists on Instagram.

An artwork I would love to own:
A Domenico Gnoli. Any of his works.
My favourite place in Rio de Janeiro:
Hard to pick just one. Either Cedilha at Janeiro Hotel, or Braseiro da Gavea, a Brazilian classic that just works. Can’t forget Confeitaria Colombo, an icon of the Belle Époque. Their furniture was designed and sculpted by my great-great-grandfather, Antonio Borsoi.

I’m dreaming of visiting:
Very cliché nowadays, but Japan. I like going to places where the culture is so different from mine that it feels like entering another dimension. I feel like Japan would give me that.

I want to learn how to:
Be less anxious. I’d love to have that skill.
Number one on my current shopping list:
On the pricier side, a Cartier Panthère. Their new Love bracelet is great too.

I can’t stop wearing:
All-white outfits and the fragrances from Sói, my new brand.
You can’t change my mind about:
The importance of being surrounded by beautiful things. Not in a shallow way, but in the sense that what you consume or surround yourself with every day shapes how you think, what you expect, and who you become. Smart and funny friends, art, beautiful shows and outfits or trips all push me to be better, more intentional, more ambitious.

I can teach you how to:
Become weirdly invested in Brazilian soap operas. I’ve been a fan since my childhood.
I can’t stop screenshotting:
References of all sorts. Artworks, outfits, people’s stories with lists of restaurants or places to visit, just everything.

My most recent Google search:
I was FaceTiming my friend Guia, and she told me to read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I’m trying to get into reading more, and I searched for it because I wanted to choose the cover I liked best before buying it. Very performative.

My favourite flavour:
Chinese dumplings. Specifically, xiao long bao.
I will never get bored with:
My friends. I must’ve done something right, because they’re the funniest people on earth.

I’m the biggest fan of:
My brothers. They’re incredibly talented and smart. We’re three boys with completely different personalities. Antonio is a force. Strong-minded, intelligent, with a sharp, sarcastic way of seeing things. José is an artist. His creativity and sensitivity are incredible. They’re younger than me, but I really look up to them.
The sound that gives me chills:
The orchestral swell at the end of Pluto Projector by Rex Orange County. It gets me every time.
