For Spring/Summer ‘27, Tod’s presented “Italian Attitude,” a collection rooted in a contemporary interpretation of Italian style through lightweight leathers, new proportions and the return of the Candy Bag. The collection is rooted in effortless elegance, while introducing a more playful attitude.
Pashmy techniques are one of Tod’s most recognisable expressions of craftsmanship, while leather becomes a medium for experimentation throughout. Perforations, movement and the way the material catches the light create an interesting interplay of visual textures, making otherwise polished designs feel more dynamic.
Colour blocking is key to the collection’s strong Italian-coded aesthetic, with touches of 1970s inspiration. Mustard yellow, orange and red appear alongside neutrals such as navy, white and brown, creating contrasts that give the looks energy.
Bare skin introduces a sense of sensuality through cropped tops and bandeau bras, contrasting with structured shapes and the technical appearance of the leather. The combination creates a look that is bold and contemporary while remaining grounded in Tod’s understated approach to elegance.
Capris and bermuda shorts contribute to a laid-back aesthetic, while trenches appear in perforated leather, Nappa and Windsilk, giving the outerwear a precise and structured character. Outerwear is a central part of the collection, with trench coats, safari-inspired jackets, belted pieces, shirt jackets and structured coats becoming the statement pieces of the silhouettes.
Skirts with movement play an important role, introducing a sense of deconstruction and fluidity. As the garments move, the leather takes on a different quality, shifting between structure and softness. Perforations, texture, movement and light transform classic silhouettes into creative pieces.
